If you’re looking to add a little zest and zing to your cooking and concocting repertoire, and trying to figure out what to do with that leftover refrigerated red wine, consider combining the two dilemmas into one solution—cooking with red wine!

Red wine offers a robust and flavorful complement to many dishes and recipes. Many people find it useful and practical to cook or bake with that bit of leftover cold wine in the fridge—and find that there really is no difference when compared to fresh wine.

Norton Grapes: The True Grape of Missouri

First introduced by Dr. Daniel Norborne Norton, Norton grapes are believed to be a variety of a less common grape family called Bland. Norton grapes are a variety largely derived from the Vitis aestivalis, which is found in the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic areas of the United States, it is the official grape of Missouri. Norton grapes first became available to the public commercially in 1830 and soon took over and revolutionized the Missouri wine industry.
